Output Carrier Assembly Disassemble

* J 22912-B Rear Pinion and Axle Bearing Remover




1. Remove the output carrier assembly (1) from the transaxle case.




2. Using a punch and a hammer, loosen the staked part of the lock nut.




3. Clamp the output carrier assembly (1) in a soft jaw vise.




4. Using a socket wrench (1), remove the lock nut.




5. Use a press and J 22912-B (1), remove the front drive pinion gear inner race.




6. Using a press (1) and DT-48145 (4), remove the output carrier, parking lock gear, and front transfer driven gear.




7. Clamp the output carrier assembly in a soft jaw vise.
8. Using J 22912-B (1), remove the rear bearing inner race.




9. Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring (1).




10. Remove the output carrier internal gear (1) from the front transfer driven gear (2).
