Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement

J 39822 Wiper Arm Puller

Removal Procedure

1. Use tape or an erasable marker to mark position of wiper blade on the rear window.




2. Disengage the two pins.
3. Remove the rear wiper blade from the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Blade Replacement (Rear Window Wiper Blade Replacement).




4. Disengage the two pins and remove the rear wiper head cap.




5. Remove the rear wiper arm nut.
6. Using J 39822 , remove the rear wiper arm.
7. Remove the rear wiper blade from the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Blade Replacement (Rear Window Wiper Blade Replacement).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear wiper blade onto the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Blade Replacement (Rear Window Wiper Blade Replacement).
2. Align the rear wiper blade with the mark on the rear window.
3. Install the rear wiper arm onto the rear wiper motor spindle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

4. Install the rear wiper arm nut.

Tighten the nut to 5.5 Nm (49 lb in).




5. Engage the two pins.




6. Engage the two pins and install the rear wiper arm head cap, push down on the cap until a click sound can be heard.
7. Remove the mark from the rear window.
