Rear Side Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement).
2. Remove the rear inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the rear door belt inner sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement).
5. Remove the door weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement).
6. Remove the door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement).
7. Remove the window guide channel. Refer to Door Window Guide Replacement (Door Window Guide Replacement).
8. Remove the door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Remove the door window regulator and motor. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement).
10. Remove the door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement (Rear Door Lock Replacement).
11. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair).
12. Remove the outer sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).
13. Remove the rear door speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement (Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement).




14. Remove the door check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair).
15. Release the door wiring harness grommet and unroute the wiring harness (2) from the door (4), if equipped.
16. Remove all the retainers from the rear door (4).
17. Mark the door hinge location.
18. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

* The 4 door to hinge bolts (1, 3)
* The rear door (4)

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the rear door (4) to the vehicle. Align the matchmarks on the hinges in order to aid in the correct adjustment of the door. Secure the door to the hinges with the 4 bolts (1, 3) and tighten to 26 Nm (19 lb ft).
2. Install all the plastic retainers to the door (4).
3. Route the door wiring harness (2) and seat the grommet into position in the door.
4. Install the door check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Install the door window regulator and motor. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement).
6. Install the rear door speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement (Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement).
7. Install the door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Install the door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement (Rear Door Lock Replacement).
10. Install the window guide channel. Refer to Door Window Guide Replacement (Door Window Guide Replacement).
11. Install the door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement).
12. Install the door weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement).
13. Install the outer sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).
14. Install the rear inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
15. Install the rear door belt inner sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
16. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement).
17. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement).
