Front Side Door Lock Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front door inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the power door lock actuator electrical connector, if equipped.
3. Remove the following components from the door:

* The 3 screws
* The door lock with the cables attached
* The door lock wiring harness seal, if equipped

Installation Procedure





Note: Apply multipurpose grease to the sliding parts of the front door lock assembly.

1. Install a new door lock wiring harness seal to the front door lock assembly, if equipped.
2. Install the door lock to the door.

Note: Make sure that the front door lock open rod is securely connected to the front door lock assembly.

3. Install the front door lock open rod to the front door lock assembly.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

4. Secure the door lock with the 3 screws and tighten to 5 Nm (43 lb in).
5. Connect the power door lock actuator electrical connector), if equipped.
6. Install the front door inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
