27. Cylinder Head Disassemble

Cylinder Head Disassemble

Special Tools
* EN-46116 - Valve Stem Seal Remover/Installer
* EN-46353 - Valve Spring Compressor Adapter
* J-8062 - Valve Spring Compressor

Note: Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

1. Remove the valve stem caps from the cylinder heads.




2. Remove the intake valve.

Note: Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

3. Using J-8062 - compressor (1) and EN-46353 - adapter and wooden blocks (2), compress and remove the valve retainer locks.

Note: Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

4. Remove the retainer, valve spring and intake valve.





Note: Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

5. Using J-8062 - compressor (1) and wooden blocks (2), compress and remove the exhaust valve retainer locks.

Note: Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

6. Remove the retainer, valve spring and exhaust valve.




7. Using EN-46116 - remover/installer , remove the valve stem oil seals.




8. Using compressed air and a magnetic pick-up tool, remove the valve spring seats by blowing air onto them.





Note: If water leaks from any of the straight screw plugs or if the plug is corroded, replace it.

9. Using a 10 mm straight hexagon wrench, remove the 3 No. 2 STRAIGHT screw plugs and 3 gaskets.
