Timing Chain Tensioner Removal
1. Set No. 1 cylinder to TDC/compression.
2. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
Note: Do not turn the crankshaft without the chain tensioner installed.
3. Remove the 2 nuts (1,2), bracket, tensioner and gasket, chain tensioner assembly.
4. Remove the bolt (1) and the crankshaft position sensor.
5. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, remove the engine oil pressure switch assembly (1).
6. If necessary, remove the No. 1 taper screw plug (1).
7. Remove the bolt and knock control sensor (1).
8. Using a 19 mm deep socket wrench, remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.
9. Remove the gasket from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
10. Remove the oil filter cap assembly.
