Tire Pressure Monitor System Configuration

It is necessary to initialize the system when any of the following conditions occur:

* Prior to delivery of a new vehicle.
* After replacement of the tire pressure control module.
* After replacement of any of the tire pressure sensors.

1. If necessary, perform Tire Pressure Indicator Sensor Learn (Testing and Inspection).
2. Adjust all tire pressures to the proper specification. Refer to Tire Inflation Pressure Specifications ([1][2]Specifications) or the tire specification placard label on the vehicle.
3. Ignition On, push and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the tire pressure warning light indicator icon flashes 3 times.
4. Maintain ignition ON for at least 7 minutes.
Note: If the ignition is cycled OFF before the 7 minute time period has elapsed, the TPM system configuration process will need to be repeated.

5. Cycle the ignition OFF and ON.
6. Using a scan tool, verify the tire pressures are properly displayed.

If tire pressures are not properly displayed, repeat the TPM system configuration procedure.
