Evaporative Emission Canister Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose (1) from the charcoal canister assembly.




2. Disconnect the vapor pressure sensor connector (1)
3. Disconnect the wire harness clamp (2).
4. Disconnect the purge line hose (3) from the charcoal canister assembly.




5. Disconnect the charcoal canister filter (3) from the charcoal canister assembly.




6. Remove the 3 bolts (1, 2, 3) and charcoal canister assembly.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution)

1. Install the 3 bolts (1, 2, 3) and charcoal canister assembly and tighten to 19 Nm (14 lb ft).




2. Connect the charcoal canister filter (3) to the charcoal canister assembly.




3. Connect the purge line hose (3).
4. Connect the wire harness clamp (2).
5. Connect the vapor pressure sensor connector (1).




6. Connect the fuel tank vent hose (1) to the charcoal canister.
