Transmission Fluid Pump Installation





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the oil pump to the transmission case with the bolts (1-7) and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).





Note: Confirm that the input shaft rotates smoothly with manual operation after installing the oil pump.

2. Coat the O-ring (1) of the oil pump with ATF WS.




3. Remove any sealant and keep the contact surfaces of the differential housing and transmission case away from oil.
4. Apply sealant Three Bond 1281 (1), or equivalent, to the transmission case.




5. Install the differential housing to the transmission case with the bolts and tighten.

* Bolts 1 to 29 Nm (21 lb ft)
* Bolts 2 to 29 Nm (21 lb ft)
* Bolts 3 to 22 Nm (16 lb ft)
* Bolt 4 to 25 Nm (18 lb ft)
* Bolts 5 to 10 Nm(89 lb in)
* Bolts 6 to 33 Nm(24 lb ft)
Apply sealant Three Bond 1281 or equivalent to bolts. Refer to Transmission General Specifications (Transmission General Specifications) for Bolt Length - B.
