Output Gear Assembly Removal

J 44749 Split Plate Bearing Gear Puller
1. Using a press (1), remove the output gear from the transaxle case.
2. Tighten the bolts evenly and make a clearance of approximately 20.0 mm (0.797 in) between the output gear and the inner race.
3. Using a press and J 44749 (4), remove the bearing inner race from the output gear.
4. Remove the output gear bearing inner race (rear side) (1) and angular ball (rear side) bearing.
5. Using a press (1) or drift punch and hammer, remove the output gear bearing outer race (rear side) from the transaxle case.
6. Remove the output gear angular ball bearing.
7. Using a press (1) or drift punch and hammer, remove the output gear bearing outer race (front side) from the transaxle case.
8. Remove the angular ball (front side) bearing.
