Output Gear Assembly Installation

Special Tools
* J-21474-A - Threaded Rod
* J-21474-4 - 1/2 Inch Nut
* J-41014-1 - Control Arm Bushing Service Tool
* J-4104-2 - Boaring Inner Race Installer
* J-46262 - Pinion Sealer




1. Install the output gear bearing retaining ring to the transmission case.




2. Using a press and J-46262 - sealer (1), install the output bearing outer race (rear side) to the transmission case.




3. Using a press and J-46262 - sealer (1), install the output bearing outer race (front side) to the transmission case.
4. Coat the output gear with ATF WS.




5. Using a press (1), install the bearing inner race (front side) to the output gear.
6. Use a drift punch and hammer to seat the bearing race.




7. Using threaded rod from J-21474-A - rod (1), J-4104-2 - installer (2), J-41014-1 - tool (4), and J-21474-4 - nut , install the outer gear and bearing inner race (rear side) to the output gear.
