A modified crankcase and oil trap are being used in production as of March, 1983. Engine numbers are as follows:

43 D 0869 - (5 speed trans,) 43 D 6294 - (Auto. trans.)


The diameters of the oil return bores have been enlarged to ensure faster return flow to the oil pan.

The new oil return pipe is installed without a seal.

Note

Only new version crankcases and oil intake pipes are available as replacement parts. Oil traps, oil return pipes and oil pan liners are available in both versions.


Caution

If a new version crankcase is to be used, new oil trap, intake pipe, return pipe and oil pan liner must be used.
