ADJUSTING LIFTING ROOF

Jobs Required Before Adjusting:

-Remove lifting roof.
-Remove trim on rear roof frame.
-Partially disconnect edge guard and rear roof frame roof liner on body (also refer to "Removing Electric Drive and Assembly Kit," point 6 through 10).

Adjusting

1. Place edge guard on collar, insert roof, lock and adjust locking tongues in gates until the lifting roof and car roof are in the same plane. Tighten mounting screws.

2. Lift out roof and pull off edge guard. Paste roof liner on body and push on the edge guard. Screw trim on roof frame and press caps on heads of screws.

3. If the stay bolts of locking tongues are not in neutral position +/- 3 mm (see sketch), remove trim in luggage compartment on left-hand side and make up for greater deviations by adjusting position of microswitch holder on the rail.

4. Install trim again after adjusting.

5. The gates screwed on the lifting roof have slots which are used to adjust the lifting roof. Check gate guides, replacing if worn or damaged.

Adjust the tension rods located in the lifting roof in such a manner that the lifting roof conforms to the same plane as the car roof.

7. If the lifting roof protrudes at the front, unscrew the centering guides on the roof beam and place washers underneath.
