Customer Letter
SUBJECT: RECALL CAMPAIGN UPDear Porsche Owner:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Porsche AG has informed us that 1982 through 1984 model Porsche 911, 924 and 944 vehicles were equipped with rear seat belt assemblies which do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208 in every respect. These seat belt assemblies conform to standards except that they do not include an emergency-locking or automatic-locking retractor. We would like to replace part of the seat belt assembly with another part which includes a retractor.
Our records show that you are the owner of one of the vehicles involved in this recall. We request that you contact the Service Department of your authorized Porsche dealer so that the proper seat belt may be installed.
The work will take approximately 20 minutes and will, of course, be done free of charge. Please allow additional time for the dealer to process your vehicle. If your dealer fails or is unable to replace part of the seat belt assembly without charge within a reasonable time, you may call the nearest Customer Assistance Office listed in the enclosure. If you still cannot obtain satisfaction, please call or write to:
