Light alloy control arms, used since SOP 1974, are now secured to spring plates with modified mounting hardware as follows:

- hex nuts (item 1) for toe-in eccentric (item 4) and retaining bolts (item 3) have been replaced with self-locking type
- lock washers (item 2) for toe-in eccentric and retaining bolt nuts are deleted
- new retaining bolts (item 3) are 5 mm longer. Original washers (item 6) are used on both sides of control arm
- torque of retaining bolts is increased to 120 N-m (86 ft lb)
- torque of toe-in and camber eccentrics is increased to 85 N-m (61 ft lb)
CAUTION

Always replace self-locking nuts and lockwashers during repairs.


New mounting parts and specifications may be used for all vehicles with light alloy control arms.
