ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT CORRECTION 1984 MODEL CALIFORNIA PORSCHE 911

This is to notify you of an emission related campaign action involving a total of 82 1984 model California equipped Porsche 911 vehicles. Affected vehicles are identified by vehicle identification number on the attachment.

An external routed electrical wire on the emission control unit located under the front drivers seat was inadvertently not connected during production.

The purpose of this action is to plug the two ends of the wire together. Any vehicle affected by this action which is still in your inventory, should be checked and the wire connected prior to retail delivery.

Note:
All vehicles involved are California equipped Porsche 911 vehicles. This notice is intended for information only for dealers who did not receive any of the affected vehicles.

Owner Notification:
VWoA, Inc. will notify and request owners of retailed vehicles to make their Porsche available for correction as soon as possible but not later than their first scheduled maintenance service.

Work procedure:
- Slide drivers seat all the away forward.
- Connect the two loose wires together for the DME controls.

Parts Requirements:
Parts are not required for this action.

Time Allowance:
The time allowance for the completion of the wire connection is 20 T.U.
