Fluid Pump: Service and Repair

NOTE: Because of the ability to interchange Porsche transmissions, it is possible to find an oil pump equipped transmission in a later model.

Disassembly
- Mark installed position of bearing sleeves for installation later.
- Drive bearing sleeves out of side transmission cover from inside with a suitable mandrel.

- Pull bearing sleeves out of oil pump cover with a suitable extractor (e. g. Kukko 12 - 14.5). To avoid damage on sealing surface it is necessary to apply the support of the extractor.





Assembly
- Install sleeves in oil pump cover in correct position and drive in against stop with P361.





- Install sleeves in oil pump cover in correct position and drive in against stop with P361.
- Tighten cover mounting screws alternately with 9 Nm (6.5 ft lb). Check whether oil pump moves easily.
