At the present we do not recommend the overhaul of the four speed automatic transmission. (M.Y. 1983 to the present)

However, small repairs, outside of the main transmission body should be performed instead of replacing the complete transmission. These repairs include:

- Checking the main and throttle pressure
- Checking and adjusting of modulator pressure
- Replacement of ATF pan and gasket
- Replacement of valve body
- Replacement of the torque converter
- Replacement of starter lock-out switch
- Replacement of the ATF container
- Replacement of the governor

All repairs on the final drive can be performed at dealer level.

Correct repair procedures will be found in the workshop manual.
