CHECKING

Power Steering Belt:

- Check tightness by applying thumb pressure on belt midway between two pulleys. Deflection: approx. 5 mm (0.197 in).

ADJUSTING
- Remove engine splashguard.

Mounting Bolts:

- Loosen upper mounting bolt or nut slightly.
- Loosen connecting rod bolts slightly.

Connecting/Adjusting Rod:

- Loosen connecting rod nuts and turn connecting rod until correct belt tightness is obtained.

- After finishing adjustments, retighten mounting bolts and/or nuts.
