Replacement of 3 blade fan with new 6 blade fan:

-Disconnect battery -Remove engine splash shield -Drain coolant -Replace coolant hose to water pump. This hose has a different shape and guarantees a safe distance of at least 10 mm between the new fan blades and coolant hose. If a new hose is not available, the old hose must be shortened by 5 to 10 mm on the waterpump side. -Refill coolant -Remove fan shroud and replace fan/motor -Reinstall fan shroud
Note: Check installed position of fan! Plug connection must face down at an angle to the right.
-The following procedures are only necessary when replacing blade fan motors equipped with an angled rubber grommet.

1. Cut off angled rubber grommet.
2. Remove flat male connector from plug receptacle and cut off wire direct on connection.
3. Install new straight rubber grommet.
4. Install new flat male connector, push into plug receptacle and connect to fan.
5. Reconnect battery.
6. Check fan operation by bridging thermo switch on radiator. Fan turning direction as seen in driving direction is counter clockwise.
7. Start engine and bleed coolant system.
