We are pleased to announce the availability of remanufactured parts through an exchange program. Our initial program contains all parts listed in enclosure (1). Additional parts will be added as made available. All genuine Porsche remanufactured parts are more than rebuilt or reconditioned, but are completely and thoroughly disassembled, cleaned and tested to Porsche specifications. Porsche remanufactured parts are warranted by a 6,000 mile, six month limited warranty, identical to new Porsche parts, Warranty submission procedures will be outlined in a forthcoming service bulletin.

Remanufactured Part Number Identification

Remanufactured Porsche parts can be identified by suffix letters to the modification section of the part number. An example of a remanufactured Porsche radio, with an original new part number of 911.645.107.01 would be 911.645.107.AX. The first modification letter indicates a conversion of the original part number of "01" to an "A", "02" would be "B", etc. An original suffix number of "00" would have no first letter designation. The second letter is a pricing indicator with the following three letters being utilized:

X = Remanufactured Part for Exchange

U = Core Value of Useable Part

V = Total Value of Manufactured Part, Including the Core Value

In simple terms X + U = V.

Ordering Procedures

Porsche remanufactured parts may be ordered through regular methods and are stocked at both Parts Distribution Centers (PDC).

Only "V" part numbers may be ordered from the PDC. The "X" value pricing on enclosure one is for suggested retail and warranty pricing only. The "U" amount is the core value only. Remember, order only "V" part numbers.
