Loose rear window frames in the lock area can be repaired, using the following procedure; we recommend to do both sides at the same time.

-Remove center section of spoiler, mark location on water drain bores in spoiler using a soft tip pen.

-Remove old sealing compound.

-Manufacture a plate from aluminum 1 to 1.25 mm thick, using the attached template.

-This plate must not protrude beyond the window glass and must be within the black window tint.

-Clean repair area, remove grease (use alcohol).

-Heat sealing compound D.004.300 according to the manufacturer's instructions.

-Apply coat of sealing compound on window and frame to correspond with size of plate and spread out in wavy pattern with a spatula. Sealing compound thickness, approx. 0.5-1.0 mm.

-Sealing compound must not be used in the area of the water drain holes!

-Place reinforcement plate on the sealing compound and press on firmly. Tighten plate with bolts, washers and nuts to improve sealing and have better alignment between the reinforcement plate and spoiler. Clamps or other tools could also be used for this purpose.
-Apply sealing compound on upper edge of plate, to prevent water leaks. Watch out for water drain bore.

-Remove temporary bolts, washer, and nuts after about 2.5 to 3.0 hours of curing time.

-Reinstall spoiler, use Loctite 270 to install spoiler nuts.

The scale of the template drawing is 1:1 and it is for the right side. The template for the left side is reversed accordingly.

-All four 10 mm bores must correspond with the bores in the frame.

-Lines A and B are used to help when gluing the template together.

-The template is only used as reference for the approximate size and shape of the reinforcement plate.
