(CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION)

Subject:
Pre-Delivery/Recall Campaign K02 1988 Model Porsche 944, 944S, 944T, 944 Turbo S Inspection and/or Replacement of A-arm

Dear Porsche Owner:

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

Porsche AG has determined that a defect may exist on the A-arms on certain 1988 Model Porsche 944, 944S, 944T and 944 Turbo S. The defective A-arm can crack and finally break after mileage accumulation. This can also occur under extreme vehicle usage. The breakage of the A-arm while driving may result in loss of control.

Therefore, you should arrange for an appointment with your Porsche dealer, as soon as possible, to have the A-arms on your vehicle inspected, and if necessary, replaced.

The necessary parts to perform this Recall should be available at your Porsche dealer. The estimated time to inspect the A-arms is one half (1/2) hour. The replacement is approximately two and one half (2-1/2) hours. However, your Porsche may have to be left longer at your Porsche dealer due to work routing in the dealer's service department. The inspection of the A-arms and/or the required replacement will be performed free of charge to you.

If your Porsche dealer fails, or is unable to inspect the A-arms and/or is unable to perform the required repair within a reasonable period of time, you may call or write to:
