Installing New Seals
1. Seal and guide must be cleaned in the cementing area to remove all grease, oil and dirt. Use acetone or other suitable cleaning solutions.

2. Spray or brush a coat of hardener on the valve guide contact surface of the seal (see Figure 4). Use protective gloves. Drying time of the hardener is approximately 5 minutes. Seals coated with hardener must be installed within ten minutes.
3. Push a protection sleeve, Part Number 000 043 084 00, on the valve stem. Oil the valve stem seal sealing lip lightly and push the seal onto the protection sleeve.

4. Apply a coat of cement on the seal contact surface of the valve guide using a small brush. Immediately press the valve stem seal carefully on the valve guide with tool 10-204 (Figure 5).
5. Do not start engine for at least 12 hours after valve stem seal installation.
