ONCE PASSWORD IS KNOWN, PROCEED AS FOLLOWS ON THE VOICE RESPONSE SYSTEM (VRS):

- Dial 1-800-992-7262 and FOLLOW THE SYSTEM PROMPTS.

- Enter your special four digit dealer password on your touch-tone keypad.

- Enter "1" for in-service date and open Recall status or 9 to end the call.

- If "1" for in-service date and open Recall status is entered, enter the 2 digit model year on the touch-tone keypad. (Note only 17 digit VINS from 1981 to present will be available).

The model year can be found by looking at the 10th digit of the VIN. The letters and respective model years are as follows:

B = 81 F = 85 K = 89 P = 93
C = 82 G = 86 L = 90 Q = 94
D = 83 H = 87 M = 91 R = 95
E = 84 J = 88 N = 92 S = 96

- Enter the 3 digit model code on your phone's touch tone key pad.

The model code can be found by looking at the 7th, 8th and 12th digit of the VIN (except for the 924/924S models) or by referring to the following table:
- Enter the last six digits of the VIN.

The computer will then be accessed and repeat the entire 17 digit VIN back to you for verification, and then provide the selling Dealer number, the warranty in-service date, and the respective open Service Action/Recall code and part identifier which is referenced in the respective Technical or Recall Bulletins under the administrative procedure section.

If there is any other pertinent information which may impact repair work to this vehicle, such as loss/stolen or comments about this VIN, you will be asked to call someone in the Warranty department for specific details.

- If you wish to access additional VINs press "1" and follow the prompts.

- If you wish to repeat the information, press "2".

- If you wish to end the call, press "4".

Note: NEVER hang up phone and abort call In the middle of prompts as this will delay access for other dealers.

*For practice try the following VIN example:
WPOABO949HN472085

* Model Year H =87 ** 944
*** Last 6 digits of VIN = 472085

As additional inquiries are added to this system we will inform you via another PC Mailbox broadcast and Warranty Bulletin.

We hope you enjoy using this new system and if you have any user questions, please contact the DCS Help Desk for questions by phoning 1-800-CARRERA.
