Enclosed with this bulletin is a Rental Car Authorization form (CRA-1) for use in authorizing car rentals under the terms of the Porsche Roadside Assistance Program. Your Porsche customer will need this form to submit a claim to the Amoco Motor Club for rental car reimbursement. Additional forms may be obtained directly from the Warranty Department.

It is important that rental cars only be authorized under the conditions specified in the Roadside Assistance program. For your review, below is a reprint of the car rental information contained in the Roadside Assistance booklet given to 1989 Carrera 4 and all 1990 model owners.

If warranty repairs on your Porsche take more than one day, Porsche Roadside Assistance will reimburse you up to $50 per day for car rental expense after a first day exclusion. Collision damage waiver, fuel surcharge and drop off charges are not included. 5 day or $250 maximum applies.

See page 20 for information on filing a claim for reimbursement.

Page 20: Claim Documentation

Porsche Roadside Assistance has been developed to eliminate member "out-of-pocket expenses" as much as possible. However, under the following circumstances you need to pay for the services and file a claim including certain documentation for reimbursement of the authorized expense(s).

Unavailability of emergency towing and road service. See page 6 for more details. Documentation required: Original invoice marked "paid", detailing services rendered.

Car rental reimbumement. See page 9 for more details. Documentation required: Original car rental invoice along with Porsche dealer service manager authorization form CRA-1.

Mail the required documentation with a completed claim report envelope within 60 days (time limit does not apply in Utah) to: Amoco Motor Club, Porsche Roadside Assistance, Claims Department, P.O. Box 9043, Des Moines, IA 50369-0004.

*Note: Does not apply to Califomia customers at thIs time.
A key determinant in authorizing a rental vehicle under the terms of the Roadside Assistance program is that warranty repairs cannot be completed in one day. This means that the cumulative total of required warranty repair times must exceed 8 hours. If a vehicle requires 2 hours of warranty repairs and 6.1 hours of retail repairs, a rental vehicle authorization under the terms of the Roadside Assistance program would not be valid.

In cases where a warranty repair cannot be completed due to a parts backorder, the VOR order time will be considered as part of the warranty repair time. This is only applicable to those warranty repairs that prevent the vehicle from being operated in a safe manner.

All rental car authorizations under the terms of the Porsche Roadside Assistance program must be issued exclusively on the enclosed form (CRA-1). No other authorization will be considered valid.

As the required entries on the form are self explanatory they will not be reviewed in this bulletin other than to emphasize that all information must be provided and the form signed by the Porsche Service Manager and the Porsche Owner/Principal operator. Retain the pink copy for your customer file (VIN) and give the Porsche customer the white and yellow copy. Instruct the customer to send in the white copy with the claim form provided by the Porsche Roadside Assistance representative at 1-800-272-7677.

Should you have any questions regarding the proper use or completion of this form, please contact Porsche Customer Relations at (702) 348-3154.
