WORK PROCEDURE A

Porsche 924S, 944 and 944 Turbo: Replacement of Fuel Hose between fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator.





Fuel Hose Layout:

Procedure

1. Open front hood.

2. Install fender covers.

3. Note radio presets, and, if applicable, theft code.

4. Disconnect battery negative cable and insulate battery post.

5. Remove fuel filler cap.

6. Place rags under both fuel line ends, to absorb fuel spillage.

7. Remove fuel line, using a 19 mm open end wrench, counter holding with a 17 mm open end wrench.

8. Install new fuel line, Part Number 944 110 413 02, using a 19 mm open wrench, counter holding with a 17 mm open end wrench.

The tightening torque for both union nuts is:
25 N-m (18 ft.lbs.)

9. Reconnect battery.

10. Start engine and check for fuel leaks. If no leak, shut off engine and proceed to # 12. If a fuel leak is noticed, shut off engine, correct leakage and proceed to # 11.

11. Restart engine and ensure that fuel leak is corrected, shut off engine and proceed to # 12.
- However, if fuel leak persists, shut off engine and repeat # 10.

12. Reinstall fuel filler cap.

13. Identify completion of performed Recall on the vehicle by marking the bracket from the fuel pressure regulator with a WHITE PAINT DOT. Ensure that the spot to be marked is free of grease and the paint adheres to the bracket.

14. Close front hood.

15. Reset clock, reset radio theft code (if applicable) and station presets.
