Models Affected: All 4 Cylinder Cars from Model Year 1988 (J)

Concem: Fluid loss from the windshield washer tank in the area of the drain cap (arrow Figure A).

In many cases the entire washer tank is being replaced. Parts testing has revealed that in most instances only the drain cap was the cause of the leak.

To avoid needless parts replacement, the drain cap with seal can be obtained as spare parts.

Drain Cap with Seal:
PN 999 063 015 40

Important Note:
The tightening torque of the drain cap is 2.0 N-m (1.5 ft.lbs.). Do not over-tighten the drain cap.
