Disassembly/Assembly

Disassembly

NOTE: The mounting of the small differential bevel gears has been modified for the turbo gearbox. 31 individual needle rollers with a spacer sleeve have been installed on each side instead of the two needle sleeves.





- Press out the bolt with centering mandrel 9289.





- Using the centering mandrel, turn the small differential bevel gears towards the openings in the housing and take out carefully. Do not lose any of the needle rollers.

Assembly

- Insert the large differential bevel gears with pressed-in threaded disks through the large opening in the differential housing and secure with the flexible flanges.





- Preassemble a small differential bevel gear with 31 needle rollers, centering mandrel 9289 and spacer sleeve, and insert through an opening in the housing.
- Assemble the second differential bevel gear with 31 needle rollers and slide onto the centering mandrel carefully. Do not lose any of the needle rollers.

NOTE: To make installation easier, assemble the needle rollers with a viscous grease.





- Using the centering mandrel, turn the small differential bevel gears until the holes are in alignment in the housing.
- Press in the differential bolts in the correct position, remove the centering mandrel and secure the bolts in the prescribed manner
