Models Affected: 928 S4 and 928 GT


Concern: Brake lights /cruise control fuse blown. (Model 87-89 fuse 4, Model 90-91 fuse 35)

Repair Information: If the brake light /cruise control and speedometer fuse blows and no fault can be determined, the wiring harness on the rear hatch in the area of the right hinge should be checked for damage (Figure 1).


Work Procedure: Remove both rear sun visors and pull down upper trim panel.

With rear hatch open, check wiring for damage in area of hatch cut-out (arrow in Figure 1).

If necessary, repair and tape wiring harness.

If edge protection is missing or installed only on upper edge, install protection as shown in Figure 2 (three sides).
