Auxiliary Air Valve (Idle Speed): Testing and Inspection
During normal operating conditions the auxiliary air regulator will be closed when engine is warm and open when engine is cold.1. Disconnect auxiliary air regulator wire connector. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between both terminals. Battery voltage should be evident.
2. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance across auxiliary air regulator terminals.
3. Correct resistance is 10--45 ohms.
