OXYGEN SENSOR REPLACEMENT
When replacing oxygen sensor, always use the following precautions:
- Be sure threads are free of damage, burrs, and carbon deposits.
- Be careful not to damage pigtail wires when removing or installing sensor.
- Be sure threads are coated with high temperature anti-seize compound (carefully coat threads so as not to contaminate inside sensor surfaces Fig. 54.).
- Install and tighten to specified torque (49-57Nm / 36-43ft.lbs.).
- Make sure harness connection is clean and tight.
