When the radio is switched on after the power supply was disconnected, the word "code" appears in the display. The 4-digit security code must be entered by using preset switches 1 through 4. Then press the LEFT SIDE of the search tuning rocker switch. If the code is entered correctly, the radio is ready to function again. If the code is entered incorrectly, the display shows for 10 seconds. After three unsuccessful attempts of entering the code, the waiting pedod is one hour, and after another 16 attempts the radio can only be decoded at the Blaupunkt service facility at customer expense.

To enter code 1766 for example, you must push
switch 1 - 1x
switch 2 - 7x
switch 3 - 6x
switch 4 - 6x


When the correct code is displayed, press left part of the search tuning rocker switch.

Note: Each preset switch can be pressed repeatedly to reach the correct digit in the display. The code is not processed until the rocker switch is pressed.
