If instrument display "Fuel Reserve" is inaccurate or the fuel tank, fuel level sender or instrument cluster is replaced, the fuel level system must be calibrated.
Calibrating procedures:
1. Fill a completely drained fuel tank with precisely 15 liters (3.96 gallons) of gasoline.
2. Wait at least one minute.
3. Pull back the operating lever of the backlighted instrument cluster and turn on the ignition switch simultaneously until
[TANKEICHEN] [ ] [ 15 LITER]
is displayed in instrument cluster.
4. Press the zero button until the number 15 appears in the center display box.
This indicates fuel level system is calibrated.
Calibrating procedures are stopped by turning off the ignition or starting the engine.
