Storage

Airbag units must be stored in accordance with the 2nd ordinance of the industrial explosives act. This ordinance stipulates that materials and devices may be stored at certain locations without a special storage approval. In the case of pyrotechnic devices assigned to category T1, the maximum is 20 kg (gross) in a working area and a maximum of 200 kg (gross) in a storage area. The airbag units must be stored in a locked room.

When the airbag units are stored, care must be taken to ensure that the upholstered side faces upward (if inadvertently triggered, the airbag unit may be thrown upward and could cause injury).

The airbag units may not be stored with other hazardous goods (paints etc.).
