Fuel Lines
This vehicle is equipped with rubber-lined polyamide fuel lines. Polyamide is a plastic made from carbon, phenol and nitrogen. This compound is designed to improve durability and withstand pressure and temperature loads. Though more durable, these hoses can no longer be handled like their rubber counterparts.Handling polyamide fuel lines:
1. Polyamide fuel lines cannot be bent.
2. Do not clamp lines shut for testing or component replacement procedures.
3. Hoses are not repairable, in case of damage, replacement is required.
Polyamide fuel lines can be recognized by the lack of a crimped sleeve at the connection end.
