Fuel Pump Delivery Rate

1. Remove hot-air blower on the left-hand side in the rear of the engine compartment.
2. Disconnect fuel return line from fuel rail.
3. Connect a length of fuel line to the return port on the fuel rail, and put loose end in suitable measuring container.
4. Remove DME relay from under hood fuse box.
5. Using a test wire, jump DME relay socket terminals 30 and 87b.
6. After 30 seconds remove jumper wire and check fuel quantity delivered. Reading should be:

At least 850cc

7. If reading is not as specified, check fuel delivery line and fuel filter for restriction. If OK, replace fuel pump.
