ATTENTION: Service Manager/Warranty Administrator

PCNA is pleased to announce Warranty Training for 1990, which will be available to all dealers beginning in January 1990. With the exception of Long Beach, California, all Warranty Training will be held in the Porsche Training Facilities in Atlanta, Chicago, Pine Brook, NJ, and Reno.

The classes will be divided up into one and two day seminars. Two day seminars are comprehensive and are recommended for Service Managers, Warranty Administrators, Warranty Clerks, and Office Managers. One day seminars are recommended for Service Managers and Service Advisors (contains all of day one from the two-day course).

Day 1 contains: The History of Porsche in America, Information Sources (i.e., Warranty Manual, Warranty Bulletins, P.C. Mailbox, etc.), Use and Application of Warranty Codes, Damage Coding, Labor Operations, Warranty Decision Making, and RO Preparation and Requirements.

Day 2 contains: The Claim Processing Cycle (i.e., Pending Track and Payment Track), Usage and Importance of Reports (i.e., DCS Acknowledgement Report, Pending Report, Error Report, etc.), Tips for DCS Entry, Paper Claims, Claim Appeals, Authorization/Product Report, and a Review of VIN Numbers, Parts Shipping/Retention, and Vehicle Information (i.e., Order Inquiry and Claim Summary).

Procedure for sign-up is as follows:

Send a Quik-Comm via PC Mailbox (Address: USPCWARRANTY) and list the person(s) name and dealer number that will be attending. PCNA will then send a confirmation. Also, please indicate whether you will be attending the one or two day seminar.

Dealers will be responsible for their own room charges and travel expenses. PCNA will provide continental breakfast and lunch during the seminars.
