Test Point 2 - Fuel Pump - DME Power Supply

1. Turn ignition off.
2. Disconnect DME and K/CP control units under passenger footwell.
3. Turn ignition and measure voltage between terminals 18 and 5 as well as 35 and 5. Measure also between K/CP plug terminals 6 and 14.

Battery voltage, proceed to step 7.
No battery voltage, proceed to next step.

4. Disconnect 14 pin connector in engine compartment and measure between female terminal 3 and ground.

Battery voltage, proceed to next step.
No battery voltage, proceed to step 6.

5. Check wiring between control unit(s) and 14 pin connector. End of test.
6. Check wiring to DME relay. If wiring checks OK, replace DME relay. End of test.
7. If fuel pump runs during engine start-up, end of test. If not, continue.
8. Remove DME relay and install jumper wire across fuse box terminals 30 and 87b.

Fuel pump runs, proceed to next step.
Fuel pump doesn't run, proceed to step 10.

9. Check wiring from DME to relay. If wiring is OK, replace DME relay. End of test.
10. Check wiring to fuel pump. If wiring is OK, replace fuel pump.
