Boost Pressure Test

944 Turbo
1. Tee in suitable pressure gauge to pressure damper vacuum connector.
2. Position pressure gauge in such a way as it can be read from passengers seat.
3. With assistant in passenger seat, drive vehicle with engine operating at 3000 RPM in second gear, using brake to limit RPM, and have assistant read off maximum boost. Boost pressure can only be checked during acceleration. Perform test as quickly as possible to avoid overheating brakes.
4. Maximum boost should be approximately 11 psi.
