Subject:
Warranty Information in Dealerships

ATTENTION:
Service Manager/Warranty Administrator

Under the Federal Trade Commission's Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and as required by Porsche Cars N.A, dealers are required to make available to prospective purchasers written warranty information on products sold by you prior to their purchase. Failure to comply may result in substantial penalties.

Dealers must clearly and conspicuously display the text of the warranty in close conjunction with the product and maintain a binder containing a copy of the warranty in a location readily accessible to prospective purchasers. This includes information on Porsche parts and accessory warranties which can be photocopied out of the Warranty Policy and Procedures manual.

Porsche Cars N.A. provides warranty booklets in the glovebox of each new vehicle delivered to you and annually issues Point of Sale Warranty Brochures for the current model year which are sent to your dealership. These brochures should be displayed in your respective showroom.

In addition, Porsche Cars N.A. also provides you with a Point of Sale Brochure outlining the terms of the Pre-Owned Porsche Limited Warranty, and a Pre-Owned Window Buyers Guide for each eligible VIN.

The Pre-Owned Point of Sale Brochure must be displayed in your respective showroom and the PreOwned Buyers Guide must be displayed in the window of each respective VIN. The Federal Trade Commission regulations require that this Pre-Owned Buyers Guide must be signed by the ultimate purchaser.

Following these guidelines will ensure that you have current warranty information readily available to prospective customers, thus complying with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and Used Car Rule.

Please advise all appropriate parts, service and sales personnel accordingly.
