Ignition Timing: Adjustments

The timing is controlled by the digital motor electronics (DME). It can only be checked, there are no provisions for adjustment.

1. Run engine to operating temperature.
2. Connect timing light.
3. Check ignition timing at crankshaft pulley.
4. Timing should be:

0° ±3° at idle

5. Disconnect timing light.
