New warranty claims checks and edits.

This bulletin applies to all U.S. and Canadian dealers.

Effective Monday, April 18, 1994, a new edit has been added to the warranty claim system which will affect your claim processing. This edit deals with having correct and up-to-date information for your customer database. This database is used exclusively for all your Porsche Cars N.A. parts. sales, and service promotional mailings.

Please be advised that if inaccurate customer information is entered on the warranty claim, the claim will be returned for correction. Claims cannot be paid or pre-paid until the correct customer data is supplied. The following areas will be validated:

Area codes
Phone numbers (correct area code and home numbers)
City/state/zip codes (zip codes must match city and state)
City spelling (do not use L.A. for Los Angeles, etc.)

This new edit will help to ensure that Porsche Cars N.A.'s customer database is as clean and current as possible, which will assist in our mutual marketing activities. If you have any questions, please contact your respective Warranty Specialist.
