The clutch pedal does not return to the rest position.
General Information:
The new version clutch pedal servo spring is installed in production as of April 21, 1993 from VIN:
WP0AB2965PS820643 (Coupe)
WP0CB2968RS840087 (Cabriolet)
Work Procedure:
If a customer complaint of "clutch pedal does not return to the rest position" is made, the new version servo spring should be installed. The setting dimension "B" of the removed servo spring (cotter pin installed) is 78 mm +/- 1 mm.
In the assembled state, the dimension "B" is 68 mm +/- 1 mm. Measure distance "B" from the outside of the stop washer to the bearing with the clutch pedal released (see Figure 1). Distance "A" remains unchanged at 147 mm +/- 0.5 mm.
