General Information:
The threads in the intercooler for the boost gauge sending unit can be damaged through over torquing or cross threading. To eliminate high repair costs, the damaged threads should be repaired using a helicoil.

Repair Information:
If repair to the threads of the intercooler is necessary, the correct helicoil to use is 1Ox1x10. The helicoil is installed with normal helicoil tools. If the boost gauge sending unit is removed, cut away the captive sealing washer and install a softer version, Part Number 900 123 144 30.

The tightening torque of the sending unit remains at 12 Nm (8.6 ft.lbs.)
