Component Functions




1. Control unit
Processes the incoming signals and triggers an alarm if the requirements are met.

2. Alarm readiness lamps
Function 1:
Display of locked condition.

Function 2:
Display of operating condition of the alarm system.

Four display types are possible:
- no flashing
- slow flashing (0.5 Hz)
- fast flashing (2.0 Hz)
- double flashing

No flashing
- Doors unlocked, alarm system not switched on.
- A fault condition was detected during the check (self-test)

Slow flashing
- Doors locked, alarm system switched on.

Fast flashing
- No fault condition is detected during the check (self-test).

Double flashing
- The system was switched on by locking the door three times in rapid succession.
- A fault condition was detected during the check (self-test).
- An alarm was triggered at least once.

3. Micro switches in the door lock
The micro switches connect the control unit to ground to switch the alarm system on and off.

4. Luggage compartment lid lock switch.
The switch at the luggage compartment lid lock connects the control unit to ground.

5. Alarm horn
If an alarm is triggered, the control unit connects the horn to positive.

6. Door Contact switches
The door contact switches connect the control unit to ground.

7. Luggage compartment lock switch
The switch at the luggage compartment lock connects the control unit to ground.

8. Radio alarm contact
The alarm contact at the radio bracket connects the control unit to ground if the radio is pulled out of its bracket.

9. Glove compartment switch
The switch at the glove compartment connects the control unit to ground when the glove compartment is opened.
