Hall Effect Sensor: Description and Operation

HALL-EFFECT TRANSMITTER
The Hall-effect transmitter is mounted on the exhaust camshaft's drive wheel. Ignition TDC of cylinder 1 is identified by means of its signal. The control unit allocates the two knock sensor signals in accordance with the firing order. The hall-effect signal is also used for sequential fuel injection control.
