Exchanged Airbag Units

Exchanged airbag units or airbag modules must be taken into possession by the Porsche Centre or by dealers authorised by Porsche and must not be handed over to the customer (customer has no right to possess them).

This also extends to the installation of any custom, or otherwise exchanged, steering wheel. The wheel removed - if it contains an airbag unit - must have the airbag unit removed and destroyed, disposed of or returned to the manufacturer before the steering wheel is handed over to the customer.
