Removing And Installing Roll-Over Bar
NOTE:
- To make taking measurements easier during installation of the roll-over bar, the number of shim plates -2, 3- should be kept the same.
- The roll-over bar -2- can be removed together with the convertible-top if:
- The convertible top is in the service position.
- The three-point belt on the body is removed.
- The push bar of the convertible-top gear has been uncoupled.
- The side-panel lining is removed.
Adjusting The Roll-Over Bar
The roll-over bar is measured in production in the vehicle and fixed with dowel pins -6- and dowel sleeves -4- on the left and right sides.
The dowel sleeves -4- and dowel pins -6- must not be removed.
1. Adjustment procedure: Unscrew collar nuts -1- at the screwed points front and rear.
2. Lift roll-over bar and insert or remove shim plates -2, 3- according to the test and adjusting values.
3. Tighten collar nuts -1-.
