Removing
Removing Hardtop
1. Pull off cover of the locking lever.
Pull the cover of the front locking lever down and off.
2. Open the locking lever.
Press red locking button on the front locking lever and fully open the latch.
3. Open the rear latching lever.
Swivel the latching lever forward until the pivot locks lift.
4. Disconnect electrical plug connection of the rear window heater.
Disconnect the electrical plug connection of the rear window heater, push on the plastic cover of the rear window heater plug connection.
5. Remove the hardtop.
Carefully lift the hardtop at the rear window and lift off to the rear.
6. Press in plastic cover.
Press plastic cover into the pivot-pin locks.
Installing
Installing Hardtop
1. Opening the locking lever.
The locking lever must be completely opened.
2. Removing plastic cover.
Carefully lever plastic covers out of the pivot-pin locks (keep plastic covers). See assembly instructions for the pivot-pin locks.
3. Putting on the hardtop.
Carefully lift the hardtop over the vehicle from the rear and insert it into the mounts of the windscreen frame at the front.
4. Closing latching lever at rear.
Pivot locks must be completely recessed in the pivot-pin locks; swivel both locking levers back until they can be felt to engage.
5. Closing locking lever at the front.
Swivel locking lever of front lock to the rear. When doing so, the locking hook must engage in the windscreen frame. The white marking line on the red locking button must become visible when the hardtop is locked properly.
6. Connecting electrical plug connection of the rear window heater.
Remove plastic cover from the plug connection and connect electrical plug connection of the rear window heater.
7. Pushing on cover of the front locking lever.
Push on cover of the front locking lever.
8. Testing the rear window heater.
Press symbol of the rocker switch. The indicator light lights up; pressing the indicator light again switches off the rear window heater.
Installing pivot-pin locks
NOTE: Insert the pivot-pin locks (B) with the convertible top open. The fitting bolt (C) can be screwed in only with the convertible top closed.
The pivot-pin lock (B) is fitted in the bracket (A). Bear in mind here that there are left-handed and right-handed pivot-pin locks (observe the L or R identification on the pivot-pin lock).
The locking tab of the bracket must line up with the recess of the pivot-pin lock. The pivot-pin lock (B) is clamped in the bracket (A) when the fitting bolt (C) is tightened.
